News Center- In Mersin, a man systematically abused his three daughters. The children, who had been abused by their father for many years, filed a complaint against their father. Father S.D. was detained but he was released by the court pending a trial.

The sexual abuse emerged when one of the sisters told about what she had faced while talking with her family members. Then, other sisters also said they had been sexually abused by their father. Sisters said they had been sexually abused by their father since they were five-six years old and they filed a complaint against their father. According to received reports, the father defended him by claiming that “his daughters used such a way to get money from him.”

They told what they had faced

One of the sisters told what she had faced as follows;

“I was subjected to sexual abuse and violence for 14 years. He also inflicted violence against me. We have no normal psychology now. We demand justice to be ensured, our father should receive the heaviest punishment. We have faced this trauma since our childhood. Our other relatives are also victims, but they try to cover it up because they are afraid. We don’t want money but want this person to be punished. Give us back our lost childhood. Please hear our voice.”

Another sister has tried to kill herself due to the trauma she experienced. “I couldn’t get married, I am always in fear. I have tried to kill myself twice. We had great fears. I thought he sexually abused only me but he sexually abused everyone.”

After the release of S.D, he threatened the three girls by saying “withdraw your complaint”.

The next hearing will be held on February 16 by the 3rd High Criminal Court in Mersin. Women’s Assemblies call on women to gather in front of the courthouse at 13:30 to support three girls.
