Message for common struggle
Representatives of the Ankara Women’s Platform visited the HDP. She pointed out the importance of a common struggle against the attacks by the AKP-MHP government.
Ankara – Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Women’s Council spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran and Women's Coordination members met the representatives of the Ankara Women’s Platform at the party headquarters within the scope of a campaign called, “Justice for Women” launched by the HDP Women’s Council. In the meeting, the women highlighted how a common struggle is significant.
Women’s Council spokesperson Başaran emphasized that there is an attack on women’s struggle, “Women suffer from poverty, and they are subjected to violence. And the Istanbul Convention is under attack. So we launched a campaign against all these injustices.” Başaran stated that the cooperation with the Ankara Women’s Platform is valuable against the attacks on the women's struggle.
Beste Uymaz, one of the representatives of the Ankara Women’s Platform, stated that women face the injustices practices the most. “A common struggle should be built,” said Beste Uymaz.
