News Center- Gelareh Abbasi, an activist and former political prisoner in Iran, was arrested in Tehran by the agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and transferred to Evin prison on Wednesday.

According to the local reports, the agents of the IRGC raided home in western Tehran on Wednesday, confiscating her electronic devices.

Gelareh Abbasi had previously been sentenced to two years and six months in prison by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran on the charge of “assembly and collusion”. After several months in Evin prison, she was released from prison in February 2023.
