News Center- On June 17, 2021, Onur Gencer entered the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) headquarters in the city of Izmir and killed Deniz Poyraz. Yesterday, the final hearing of the murder trial was held and Onur Gencer was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment and nine years in prison.

After the court decision, Didar Gül, member of the Women are Strong Together Platform (Kadınlar Birlikte Güçlü Platformu- KBG) made a speech. She was detained by police for saying, “Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu will also stand trial" in her speech.  After being questioned at the police station, she was released from custody.
