Istanbul- We Will Stop Femicide Platform (Kadın Cinayetlerini Durduracağız Platformu-KCDP) has released its November 2024 report on femicide in Türkiye. 32 women were killed by men and 26 more died under suspicious circumstances in November, the report said.
According to the report, seven women were killed by men on the excuse that they had asked for a divorce, refused marriage or dating proposals and the excuses of men, who killed 23 women could not be determined.
‘Violence against women continues by changing its forms’
“The reason why we could not determine the excuses of men, who killed 23 women, is that violence against women and femicide are invisible. Without the determination of the reasons behind femicide, the fair trial and preventive measures, violence against women continues by changing its forms,” the platform said.
