News Center- Lida Alexani, an Armenian citizen living in Tehran, was released from Evin prison on a bail of 4 billion tomans on Tuesday, after more than 30 days in prison.

Lida Alexani (56), whose husband Joseph Shahbazian has been also held in Evin Prison since his re-arrest in February, was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents on 12 April, two days before the funeral of her husband’s mother.

According to local sources, Joseph Shahbazian’s mother, Jhasmen, passed away on April 9, 2025 and her funeral was held on April 14 in the absence of both her son and daughter-in-law.
