Kurdish Women's National Unity Platform: Unity is the Strongest Response to Attacks
The Kurdish Women's National Unity Platform condemned attacks on the Kurdistan Region, asserting that strengthening unity and solidarity is the strongest response while reaffirming their ongoing struggle for freedom and justice.
News Center — Attacks targeting regions within the Kurdistan Region persist amidst the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States, leaving behind human casualties and material damage. These assaults have drawn widespread condemnation from political and social forces and figures, who view them as a continuation of policies aimed at pressure and escalation.
The Kurdish Women's National Unity Platform called for fostering unity and solidarity among various Kurdish forces and factions, stating that building a unified stance constitutes the most powerful response to the attacks targeting the Kurdistan Region.
This came in a statement issued by the Platform, in which it condemned the continuous attacks on the Kurdistan Region, noting that these assaults have resulted in casualties among both the Peshmerga forces and civilians, in addition to causing extensive damage to civilian property.
The Platform pointed out that the continuation of these attacks falls within policies aimed at breaking the will of the Kurdish people and attempting to suppress their demands for freedom and legitimate rights. It emphasized that targeting the Peshmerga and the defenders of the people’s rights will not halt the course of the struggle; rather, it will only bolster the determination of the region's people to press forward with their efforts.
In its statement, the Kurdish Women's National Unity Platform highlighted the historical role of Kurdish women in the path of struggle, affirming that they have always been, and remain, at the forefront of resistance and sacrifice. It explained that Kurdish women view every loss among the defenders of the region as a part of their shared journey, seeing these sacrifices as a continuation of the path toward achieving freedom, justice, and equality.
Furthermore, the Platform stressed that the sacrifices made by the Kurdish people over long years must serve as a catalyst to strengthen unity among political forces, as well as civil and social organizations. It noted that honoring the blood of the victims is achieved by consolidating solidarity and continuing joint action.
The Platform warned that the use of weapons and violence will not succeed in extinguishing the Kurdish people's aspirations for freedom, asserting that instead of weakening the community's will, these policies only reinforce the resolve of the freedom fighters and deepen the faith in continuing the journey.
In conclusion, the Kurdish Women's National Unity Platform extended its condolences to the families of the victims, their comrades on the frontlines, and the entire populace of East Kurdistan, reaffirming the continuation of its struggle under the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Woman, Life, Freedom) until its goals are fully achieved
