News Center- Taraneh Alidoosti, one of Iran’s most famous actresses, has been banned from travelling to other cities of Iran and abroad, Mina Akbari, Iranian filmmaker, artist, writer, and curator, announced Friday on social media platform X.

 “She was at the airport with her daughter when she learned that she had been banned from travelling. Now her daughter is crying; because her mother is banned from travelling,” said Mina Akbari in her post.

Mina Akbari quoted Taraneh Alidoosti as saying, “Have you ever seen anything like this? Yes; this is Iran.”

 In November 2022, Taraneh Alidoosti was arrested after publicly protesting the execution of Mohsen Shekari, a young man arrested during the ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’ protests that sparked in Iran following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini in September 2022. She was released on bail from Evin prison on January 4, 2023.
