Gaza... More than 125 Violations of the Ceasefire Agreement and a New Massacre Against Civilians
The Government Media Office in Gaza documented more than 125 violations of the ceasefire agreement committed by Israeli forces, which included deadly attacks that killed dozens of civilians, including children, women, and people with disabilities.
News Center — Despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas signed on October 10, Israeli forces have carried out increasingly frequent attacks on the Gaza Strip, resulting in civilian casualties, including children and women.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated on Wednesday, October 29, that Israeli forces continue their “systematic campaign of misinformation, falsification, and spreading lies aimed at distorting the truth and covering up their ongoing crimes” against the civilian population in the Strip.
The office reported that Israeli forces launched attacks over the past few hours on several areas of the Strip, killing more than 100 people — including 52 children, 23 women, 4 elderly individuals, and 7 people with disabilities. It confirmed that civilians were targeted indiscriminately, proving that Israeli forces continue to pursue a policy of mass killing as a consistent approach rather than an isolated incident.
The Human Rights Office accused Israeli forces of deliberate and flagrant violations of the principles of distinction and proportionality — both cornerstones of international humanitarian law in armed conflicts — through their repeated targeting of residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and shelters in the Gaza Strip, under pretexts of “response” or “self-defense,” which the office described as lacking any legal basis.
The statement added that the use of excessive destructive force, resulting in numerous deaths among children, women, and the elderly, along with the destruction of infrastructure, constitutes a blatant violation of the principle of proportionality and reflects a systematic policy of blind force against defenseless civilians.
The office condemned these systematic criminal practices that combine media deception with mass field killings, holding Israeli forces and “the states complicit in the crime of genocide” fully responsible for the continuation of this bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that since the implementation of the agreement signed on October 10, the death toll has reached 211 people, with 597 others injured. In addition, the bodies of 482 more victims were recovered, believed to have died before the agreement came into effect, reflecting the continuation of military escalation despite the declared truce.
