News Center_ The Syrian coast has witnessed an increase in reports related to the disappearance of women in recent months, amid the absence of official data clarifying the causes or contexts, generating growing societal concern regarding their safety and the role of competent authorities in following up on these cases.

Local sources reported today, Tuesday, July 21, that contact was lost with two young women from the village of Bustan al-Basha in the Jableh countryside while they were heading this morning to Lattakia University to take a university exam, amid a complete absence of official information regarding the circumstances of their disappearance.

The sources explained that the families of the two young women were prevented from entering the university to make inquiries, while ambiguous messages were received on their phones indicating that they had” taken the right path.”

According to available information, the two young women are Shahd Ya’il Jadid, a nursing student, and Nagham Ayman Jadid, an education student, who are cousins. The villagers are awaiting any official clarification that might reveal their fate and the circumstances surrounding the loss of contact with them.
