5 civilians killed in Turkish drone attack near Tishreen Dam identified

Five civilians killed in a Turkish drone attack targeting a civilian convoy near the Tishreen Dam on Wednesday have been identified.

News Center- On Wednesday morning,  thousands of people from the Raqqa, Jazira, Tabqa and Euphrates cantons of North and East Syria departed to the Tishreen Dam to protest the attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) on the Tishreen Dam and to be in solidarity with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). However, their convoy was targeted by a Turkish drone attack near the dam. Five civilians were killed in the attack.

Names of the killed civilians

The five civilians killed in the attacks have been identified. Their names are: Zozan Hemo, Kerem Ehmed (One of the managers of the Zenûbiya Women’s Community), Azad Ferhan Mihemed (member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement), Mistefa Ebdî and Elî Şaşo.

Vigil continues

Since morning, the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) have been bombing the area around the dam, where civilians have been holding a vigil. Despite the ongoing bombardment, thousands of civilians have kept holding the vigil on the dam.
