4,711 civilians killed in Syria since December 2024
4,711 civilians have been killed in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a British monitoring group, said on Tuesday.

News Center- Since the fall of the Assad regime, 4,711 civilians, including 345 women and 194 children, have been killed in Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a Britain-based monitoring group, said on Tuesday.
According to the monitoring group, 1,894 civilians, including 21 women and 34 children, were killed between December 8 and December 31, 2024; 679 civilians, including 146 women and 53 children, were killed in different areas of Syria in January 2025; 435 civilians, including 46 women and 42 children, were killed in February 2025 and 1,703 civilians, including 132 women and 65 children were killed between March 1 and March 18, 2025.
1,805 civilians executed
The monitoring group also documented the extrajudicial execution of 1,805 civilians between December 8, 2024 and March 18, 2025.
“We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, call on the international community once again to work hard to stop the bloodshed in Syria,” the monitoring group said. “The people of Syria have been facing tyranny and oppression in their noble endeavour and cause to obtain justice, democracy, freedom and equality.”
