Nina Golestani, a women’s rights activist and a writer from Rasht, has been temporarily released on bail from Lakan Prison in Rasht.

News Center- Nina Golestani, a women’s rights activist and a writer from Rasht, has been temporarily released on bail from Lakan Prison in Rasht, her spouse, Seyed Javad Sajjadi Rad, announced on Instagram on Sunday.
On November 11, 2023, Nina Golestani was arrested while returning home in Rasht. Following her arrest, her house was searched, and her mobile phone and laptop were confiscated by security forces.
She was then sentenced to three years, six months, and one day in prison on charges of “assembly and collusion” and to seven months and 16 days for “propaganda against the regime”.
On March 12, 2025, she was rearrested and transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht.
