Syrian Observatory documents killing of 26 people in various Syrian areas
Twenty-five criminal murders have resulted in the deaths of 26 people, including two women and a baby girl, a dangerous indicator of escalating security chaos and the widening scope of violence in several Syrian cities.
News Center_The increasing crimes in various Syrian areas reflect the depth of the security and social collapse, as violence escalates with the spread of weapons and the weakness of legal institutions, making civilians vulnerable to daily threats amid living and psychological crises worsened by years of war.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today, Tuesday, May 26, that family disputes, revenge, and retaliation have contributed to turning many disagreements into murder cases, reflecting the worsening social disintegration and the weaknees of peaceful conflict resolution mechanisms.
During the current month of May, the Observatory documented 25 criminal murders in several Syrian cities, resulting in the deaths of 26 people, including two women and a baby girl, a clear indicator of the widening scope of security chaos and the declining ability of relevant authorities to control the situation.
It noted that the murders were distributed across the cities of Al‑Hasakah, Rural Damascus, Raqqa, Deir ez‑Zor, Idlib, Damascus, Latakia, Aleppo, and Sweida, warning of the continued rise in crime rates in Syria amid security chaos, instability, and the proliferation of weapons, which threatens further societal collapse and the near‑daily fall of new victims.
