3,500-year-old tomb discovered in Egypt
Archaeologists have discovered a 3,500-year-old tomb near the city of Luxor, Egypt, officials said on Tuesday.

News Center- Archaeologists have discovered a 3,500- year-old tomb near the city of Luxor, Egypt, officials said on Tuesday.
According to Egyptian officials, the archaeologists discovered Thutmose II's tomb in the mount of Thebes area, west of Luxor and the renowned Valley of the Kings. The team and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said evidence was discovered that clearly indicates it was King Thutmose II's tomb.
Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), described the discovery as one of the most important archaeological finds in recent years.
“This is the first time funerary furniture belonging to Thutmose II has been discovered, as no such items exist in museums worldwide.”
