“As Kurds, we must unite to stop attacks,” said young women of the Makhmour refugee camp, condemning the ongoing attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions on North and East Syria.

Makhmour- Young women living in the Martyr Rustem Cudi Camp (Makhmour Refugee Camp) call for unity against the ongoing attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions on North and East Syria.
‘The Kurdish people have their forces fighting against the attacks’
The people of Rojava organize themselves under the umbrella of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, said Nudem Yaman, a resident of the camp. “The Turkish state and its armed groups have been attacking Kurdistan, killing and displacing thousands. When ISIS started its attacks in 2014, the people of Rojava Kurdistan resisted them. The armed groups attacking the gains of the revolution in Rojava Kurdistan today are the continuation of ISIS. The armed groups of the Turkish state have been brutally attacking Kurds. The Kurdish people have their own forces fighting against the attacks; the SDF, YPG and YPJ protect people from all kinds of attacks.”
‘Another partner of the Turkish state is the ENKS’
Nudem Yaman criticized the international silence against the attacks and said, “The KDP cooperates with the Turkish state in Southern Kurdistan. Another partner of the Turkish state is the ENKS (the Kurdish National Council in Syria). The closure of Semalka Border Crossing in Southern Kurdistan shows that there is a cooperation between the KDP and the Turkish state. The closure of the border crossing prevents patients and injured people from receiving treatment and cuts off communication with Rojava Kurdistan.”
‘We must unite to stop attacks’
Nudem Yaman called on the Kurdish people living in four parts of Kurdistan and other countries to unite. “We must unite to stop the attacks. As women, we will resist and support the people of Rojava Kurdistan. We will prevail by resisting and fighting.”
‘The Turkish state commits war crimes’
The Turkish state commits war crimes against the people of Rojava, Eynas Kar told NuJINHA. “The fight in the mountains and across Kurdistan shows that we exist and will always exist. We follow the path of truth, the path of leader Apo.”
Eynas Kar mentioned the resistance of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in the prison island of Imrali and said, “The Kurdish people must resist like their leader. The determination and will of our leader give us the strength to fight against all kinds of technical and chemical attacks. As Kurdish young people, we must struggle for the freedom of leader Apo. We will fulfill our duties and responsibilities to build a free Kurdistan. The Kurdish people will definitely gain a victory.”
