News Center_The state of security chaos continues in anumber of Syrian governorates, with the escalation of criminal crimes and murder incidents, while acts of violence recur in a scens reflecting the scale of the risks facing civilians, amid growing demands to strengthen security and hold perpetrators of crimes accountable.

Since the beginning of this year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented hundreds of crimes that targeted womenand children and resulted in victims from various groups, while the differing figures between governorates reveal the widening scope of incidents and the diversity of their circumstances, at a time when the families of victims await the unveiling of the circumstances of whct happened and the achievement of justice.

Syrian Observatory data revealed the expansion of the scope of criminal crimes since the beginning of the year, with 379 crimes recorded that resulted in 413 victims in various governorates.aleppo topped the list with 69 crimes, followed by Rural Damascus and Deir ez-Zor, while the rest of the incidents were distributed across Raqqa, Idlib,Daraa, Hasakah, Homs, Latakia, Hama, Damascus,As-Sweida,Tartus, and Quneitra. The toll indicates the fall of 325men, 56 women,and 32 children, in a scens reflecting the continuation of security chaos and the increasing risks facing civilians.

The Syrian Observatory stressed today, Thursday, 24 September, that these figures show the continued recording of murders and crimes in a number of governorates, with a clear variation in the numbers of crimes and victims between ong governorate and another, which raises fears about the level of security, the protection of civilians, and limiting the spread of crime.
