Protests in Dehdasht over power outages: 6 protesters arrested

For three days, the people of Dehdasht, a city in Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, have taken to the streets to protest the ongoing power outages. Six protesters were arrested on Tuesday night.

News Center- The ongoing power outages in Iran have sparked protests in a number of cities in Iran for three days. On Tuesday night, many people gathered at the square in the city of Dehdasht to protest the ongoing power outages.

The protesters blocked roads, and chanted anti-government slogans such as “Death to the dictator” and “Death to the Islamic Republic”.

At least six protesters, including two women, were arrested and taken to an unknown location by the security forces in the city, according to local reports. The names of the four arrested protesters are: Jaber Foroughi, Amir Hossein Jafari, Pouria Barati and Atefeh Tahernia.
