Aleppo -Sports fields in Syria have become platforms for freedom and equality, where women have established a strong presence equal in importance to that of men, raising their voices and writing stories of determination and female struggle.

The Fourth Martyr Hawker Student Festival was held over two days, November 2–3, in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo. The festival featured sports activities, running races, and competitions, while the second day included folk dances, painting, singing, and theater.

Enas Dagli, 14, a young woman from Afrin, proved her presence and shone in the Joudi Amanos table tennis team after only one year of joining. From the moment she held the paddle, her passion for the sport flowed, and she began developing her skills in what she described as a beautiful and enjoyable sport.

Her journey would not have continued without the strong support of her coach, who encouraged her to persevere and refine her talent. Today, she continues training with great enthusiasm, keeping her main goal in mind: developing her skills and reaching the highest levels.

Enas encourages other girls passionate about table tennis to nurture their talent step by step, emphasizing that “perseverance alone can take you to the place you dream of.”

At 15, Roslin Mahu continues to develop her football skills, becoming one of the most prominent players in her team, Ronahi Amanos, established only four months ago. Despite the team’s newness, it has significantly helped her refine and improve her talent.

Roslin didn’t start from scratch; she had played football in the Shahba area, but returning to Aleppo opened new opportunities through her team, where she found a supportive environment that fostered her growth.

She carries great hope of becoming a top player in the near future and representing her hometown Afrin with pride. To girls her age, she advises: “Develop your talents, choose a team that gives you confidence and support, and remember that determination is the path to achieving your dreams.
