Ayşe Şan to be finally buried in Amed after 29 years

The remains of Kurdish singer Ayşe Şan were brought from Izmir to Amed on Wednesday after 29 years. Her remains will be buried in Amed in accordance with her will.

Amed (Diyarbakır)- The remains of Kurdish singer Ayşe Şan, who died on December 18, 1996 in Izmir, were brought from Izmir to Amed on Wednesday after 29 years. She will be buried in Amed in accordance with her will.

Many people, including Ayşe Şan’s son Murat Kersen, her nephews, People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Amed MP Serhat Eren, Co-mayors of Diyarbakır and Diyarbakır’s districts and Neslihan Şedal, Co-chair of the Union of South-eastern Anatolian Region Municipalities, went to the airport to receive the remains of Ayşe Şan.

The remains of Ayşe Şan will be buried at the Yeniköy Cemetery in Amed today at 10 am.
