Zakiye Khodadadi wins bronze medal of Paris Paralympics
Zakia Khodadadi, Afghan para-taekwondo athlete and member of the International Paralympic Committee, won the bronze medal at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 on Thursday.

Zakia Khodadadi won bronze in the women's 47kg category after defeating Ekinci Nurcihan, Para taekwondo athlete from Türkiye. She is the first athlete to win a medal at the Paralympics from Afghanistan.
“This medal is for all the women of Afghanistan and all the refugees of the world. I hope that one day there will be peace in my country,” the athlete said after winning the medal.
