News Center- Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Pervin Buldan spoke at her party’s group meeting held in the Parliament. “They brutally killed our comrade, friend, and party’s member Deniz Poyraz. They took her from us, from life. They added a new page to their dark history. Their aim is to make the future darker, to destroy the hopes. But they never succeeded. They will not make us bow down. They couldn’t destroy our hopes for peace and democracy and they will not. They couldn’t deter us from our struggle for an honorable life. They will not! Our history of struggle is the history of honorable resistance. Our struggle is a clean struggle for peace against all the dirty wars. Our struggle is the struggle for democracy against the darkness of fascism, Pervin Buldan said.

“We will bring peace to this country”

Deniz Poyraz was killed in the attack on the office of the HDP in Izmir on June 17, 2021. Pervin Buldan promised Deniz Poyraz to bring peace to Turkey. “It is our promise to you, dear Deniz; we will bring peace to this country. Your uncompleted dreams are the dreams of millions. Your struggle and courage are the struggle and courage of all of us.  

“He used the same language used by the killer”

Pervin Buldan criticized Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli, who accused Deniz Poyraz and said, “The junior partner of the government took the floor and pointed Deniz Poyraz as a target. He used the same language used by the killer. He said Deniz Poyraz was a “terrorist”. He said her family is a “terrorist”. He didn’t point Deniz and her family as a target but also the millions who voted for the HDP in the country.”
