News Center- A delegation of the Kongra Star, consisting of Nariman Evdike, Rawda Hesen, and Menal Mihemed, was welcomed by the members of the Durango City Council of the city of Biscay, Basque Country. The mayors of Durango, Guernica, and Otxandio and members of the delegation spoke about the situation in Northern and Eastern Syria. The delegation of the Kongra Star continues to hold meetings in Basque.

In 2017, a twinning agreement was signed between the Kobanî administration and the Basque country's city of Durango. Suargi Association and a women’s academy were opened in Kobanî in 2018 to increase the solidarity between the two cities.
