HDP submits law proposal

Ankara- Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul MP Hüda Kaya has submitted a law proposal to the parliament for amendment of the Turkish Civil Code and the Population Services Law.
Drawing attention that women have to struggle to use only their own surname after marriage, Hüda Kaya demanded that the discriminatory articles in the laws against women should be eliminated and more equal and fair regulations should be made for gender equality.
