Dilniya Mihemed Emin goes back to school after 20 years
Dilniya Mihemed Emîn, who is determined to complete her education life, goes back to school after 20 years.

Halabja-The political and economic situation in the Kurdistan Region causes many women to drop out of school. Dilniya Mihemed Emîn, who dropped out of school after getting married in 1977, decided to go back to school in 2018. She wants to be a role model for the women who dropped out of school. She is now a student in the eleventh grade of high school.
She went back to school in 2018
“I was born in 1980 in Halabja. I got married and had children so I had to drop out of school. After my children grew up and our financial situation got better, I decided to go back to school in 2018,” she told NuJINHA.
She wants to study literature
Dilniya Mihemed Emîn dropped out of secondary school. She thinks there is no age limit for education. “Now, I am a student in the eleventh grade of high school. I feel better now because I study and read books. The women, who dropped out of school, should go back to school. After graduating from high school, I want to study literature at the University of Halabja and serve my country,” she said.
