Activities for women journalists in Gaza
The Women’s Council of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) has carried out a series of activities for women journalists throughout the month of March to share their experiences and find solutions to the problems faced by them.

Gaza- The Women’s Council of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) has carried out a series of activities for women journalists throughout the month of March to share their experiences and find solutions to the problems faced by them. Amal Toman, a member of the PJS, told NuJINHA that the syndicate has carried out activities, online meetings throughout the year coordinately with NGOs. “But the syndicate cannot carry out activities in the West Bank due to the obstacles imposed on the region by the Israeli occupation. But there is always an alternative way,” she said.
They aim to reach all women journalists
Amal Toman also stated that they have carried out activities with the aim of reaching women journalists of all ages. “Our council will organize an event to provide psychological, cultural, and folkloric for women journalists. Nasser Abu Bakr, the head of the PJS and award-winning women journalists will also attend the event. A photograph exhibition will be held to reflect the reality of Palestinian women,” she told us.
An international conference
Amal Tomal also told that they will organize an international conference in the coming days to discuss the working conditions of Palestinian women journalists, and shed light on many issues through several presentations to reveal the reality of women journalists in the Gaza Strip.
She called on women journalists to participate in their activities. Criticizing the state institutions' lack of attention to the media, Amal Toman emphasized that journalists should be supported.
