Special music video in memory of Sakine Cansız
Kevana Zêrîn Women's Cultural Movement, has made a special music video called “Sakîna yê” to honor the memory of Sakine Cansız, who was murdered in Paris on January 9, 2013 along with two Kurdish women.
News Center- Sakine Cansız (Sara), one of the founders of the PKK, Fidan Doğan (Rojbîn), Paris Representative of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), and Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî) were murdered in Paris on January 9, 2013. On the 12th anniversary of the murders of three Kurdish women, Kevana Zêrîn Women's Cultural Movement, has made a special music video called “Sakîna yê” to honor the memory of Sakine Cansız.

The song is written and sung by Sîdar Amed, the music video is produced by Feraşîn Demhat. Arranged and mixed by Xuzen Harûn, the song is vocalized by Mordem Fırat and Xwezan Harûn.
‘Comrade Sara is the magic of revolutionary life’
Sîdar Amed, who sings the song, told NuJINHA that she had had a hard time writing the lyrics because “It was difficult to describe Sakine Cansız with the words. When I first met Comrade Sara, I was very impressed by her strong stance. I thought, ‘She took her essence from the Sun’. I wrote this song in her memory. All women and men and everyone, who met her, should tell the life story of Comrade Sara. Comrade Sara is the magic of revolutionary life.”
