‘Our aim is to preserve Kurdish culture’

Evîn Colemerg talked about the founding purpose of the center and said, “In the camp, women lead art and cultural activities. For long years, we organized our art and cultural activities under the umbrella of Kevana Zêrîn Culture and Art Center. On May 11, 2023, we changed the name of the center as Stêra Zêrîn. Families and women, especially young women, have a great interest in the center. As the center, we call on families and women to preserve their culture. Art and culture is not just singing or playing instruments but also shaping society. One of our main aims is to preserve Kurdish culture.”
