News Center- Musician Hediye Kalkan of the Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM) composed a Kurdish song named “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” to celebrate the International Women’s Day, March 8. Produced by KOM music, the music video has been shared on online platforms today.

 Who is Hediye Kalkan?

 Born in 1989, in the Karınca village of Wêranşar (Viranşehir), a district of Riha (Urfa), Hediye Kalkan began to be interested in Kurdish culture and art at a young age. Her musical journey is based on dengbêj (Kurdish storytelling). She is a Kurdish singer and composer and she plays musical instruments. She is a member of the Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM).
