Young woman killed by Iranian security forces in Lorestan
Iranian security forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle and killed Negar Karimian, a 21-year-old young woman living in Isfahan.
News Center- On March 9, Iranian security forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle and seriously injured Negar Karimian, a 21-year-old young Borujen, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province and a resident of Isfahan, in Chaman Soltan, a city in Borborud-e Sharqi District of Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran.
According to the local report, Iranian police opened fire on the car of the family while returning to Isfahan from the funeral of their uncle in the village of Farsesh Aligudarz. Negar Karimian’s father was slightly injured.
Negar Karimian was buried at Bagh Rezvan cemetery in Isfahan on March 11. Iranian police later told the family that they had opened fire on the car by mistake. According to the local sources, a police officer was arrested for opening fire on the car without warning.
On January 19, 2024, the Iranian security forces opened fire on a car and killed a 20-year-old female student named Anahita Amirpour in the Borujard city of Lorestan province.
