Women’s Council of North and East Syria member Sîwan Îsa dies

The Women’s Council of North and East Syria has announced in a written statement that Sîwan Îsa, a member of the council in Jazira Canton, died in line of duty on July 8, 2024.

News Center- The Women’s Council of North and East Syria has announced in a written statement that Sîwan Îsa, a member of the council in Jazira Canton, died in line of duty on July 8, 2024.

“Sîwan Îsa, member of the Women’s Council of North and East Syria in Jazira Canton, was martyred in the line of duty yesterday. Martyr Siwan grew up in a patriotic family. For years, she made great efforts for women’s freedom and the implementation of the democratic nation paradigm. She lastly served as the manager of the Women's Rights Protection Center of the council,” the statement said.

“We express our condolences to her family and comrades. We will follow in the footsteps of Martyr Siwan and realize her goals. Martyrs are immortal.”

Martyr Sîwan Îsa will be laid to rest in the Qira village of Amuda today (July 9).
