Women of Shengal: A global struggle is needed against isolation and conspiracy
Emphasizing that the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan is against international law, women of Shengal said that a global struggle is needed to break the isolation.
EMÎRA ZOZAN
Shengal - An aggravated isolation has been imposed upon Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in the Imrali High-security Prison. The international conspiracy, which began on February 9, 1998 and was carried out on February 15, 1999, will enter its 24th year. Yazidi women living in Shengal (Sinjar) spoke to NuJINHA about the international conspiracy and the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan. Indicating that the thoughts of Abdullah Öcalan have already spread all around the world, they said, “A global struggle is needed to break the isolation and ensure the physical freedom of leader Apo.”
‘They should not play ostrich’
Emşê Kurkurî, member of the Yazidi Free Women's Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Azadiya Jinên Êzîdî-TAJÊ), said, “We, as Yazidi community, want to be a part of the struggle for the physical freedom of leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). The lawyers of leader Apo have not received any information about him until now. Countries must act according to their own duties and responsibilities; they should not play ostrich. Thanks to leader Apo’s thoughts, we are alive today. Thanks to leader Apo, our children defend us today.”
‘His thoughts can solve all problems’
Pointing to the thoughts of Abdullah Öcalan, Emşê Kurkurî said, “The isolation imposed on him has been deepening every day because he offers freedom to all people. A while ago, two people in Bakure Kurdistan took action to break the isolation by setting their bodies on fire. We extend our condolences to their families. Whatever we do for leader Apo is insufficient because he showed the new way of life to all people. He offered freedom to us, to women. For this reason, those who follow leader Apo’s ideology are targeted by the enemy. His thoughts and ideology can solve all problems in the world.”
‘We will always owe to him’
Xanesor Peoples’ Assembly member Nefiya Cirdo said, “We extend our condolences to the families of the two people, who set their bodies on fire. We will always owe to leader Apo. For this reason, everyone should rise up to fulfill their responsibilities. Leader Apo wants peace for the whole world.”
