Unchanged Reality: Israeli Airstrikes Cause Casualties Across Gaza Despite Ceasefire Agreement

Amid ongoing mutual accusations of violating the ceasefire agreement announced in October 2025, several civilians were killed and injured in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the demolition of multiple buildings.

News Center — Israeli attacks continue across various parts of the Gaza Strip, where a bombardment targeting a residential home in the central city of Deir al-Balah has left several Palestinians dead and others injured.

In the early hours of Wednesday, July 15, a number of Palestinians were killed and wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. This comes as attacks persist in scattered areas of the Strip despite the active ceasefire agreement declared in October 2025.

Medical and local sources reported that an strike executed by an Israeli helicopter targeted a residential apartment, killing members of the family inside. The sources added that the bombardment caused a large fire to break out within the targeted home. Civil defense and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, managed to extinguish the flames, recovered the victims, and transported them to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city.

In other field developments, several areas across the Gaza Strip experienced shelling and gunfire. Local sources reported that a number of Palestinians were injured when an Israeli strike hit a shelter for displaced persons in western Gaza City, near the Al-Katiba prison area. Other areas also came under fire from Israeli military vehicles.

In the southern part of the Strip, local sources stated that Israeli drones dropped bombs near the Bani Suhaila roundabout, east of Khan Younis, coinciding with heavy gunfire directed toward the eastern areas. Reports also indicated the demolition of buildings and civilian structures in the Qizan an-Najjar area, south of the city.

Additionally, artillery shelling targeted areas northeast of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while eastern areas of Gaza City were subjected to repeated shelling and gunfire, with no immediate details available regarding the scale of damage or the number of casualties in some locations.

These developments unfold amid continuous exchanges of accusations regarding violations of the ceasefire. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect has reached 1,110, with another 3,599 injured, according to official statistics.

According to the ministry's data, the total death toll of Palestinian casualties since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023 has risen to tens of thousands of dead and injured, alongside widespread destruction of residential areas and civilian infrastructure throughout the Strip.
