News Center_ Work accidents in Turkey are recording a notable rise in casualty rates, amid increasing indicators that women and children have become among the groups most exposed to risks in unsafe work environments.

The Health and Safety Council for Workers(iSiG) issued its report “Workplace Murders” for the month of August 2026, recording the deaths of 226 workers as a result of work-related accidents during the month. It noted that among the victims were 15 women, 15 children, and 16 migrant workers, reflecting the continuing risks facing the most vulnerable groups at work sites.

According to the Council’s data, traaffiv accidents accounted for 22 percent of total deaths, followed by falls from heights at 21 percent, while deaths resulting from collapses and being trapped under rubble reached 19 percent.
