Tunisia hosts 3rd World Women’s Conference of grassroots women
The program of the 3rd World Women’s Conference of grassroots women that will take place in Tunisia from September 3 to September 10, has been announced. Women from many countries will participate in the conference.
Tunisia -The Organizing Committee of the 3rd World Women’s Conference of grassroots women that will take place in Tunisia from September 3 to September 10, has announced the program of the conference.
One of the members of the committee, Zaman Masoud spoke about the preparations for the conference. “Women from many countries have registered to participate in the conference and many of them have already checked in hotels. We held a virtual meeting to discuss our activities and events for the conference. We also discussed the aims of the conference and its difference from other conferences organized by the United Nations.”
Women from all segments will participate in the conference
Speaking about the difference of the conference, Zaman Masoud said, “Ordinary women will participate in the conference and they will cover their expenses. We get financial support from wealthy women to cover the expenses of the conference. Women from all segments such as farmers, workers and teachers will participate in the conference.”
Preparations continue
Stating that the preparations for the conference continue, Zaman Masoud said, “Almost everything is ready for the conference. We work to be ready on September 3.”
The World Women’s Conference of grassroots women is held every three years. The first conference was held in Venezuela, Latin America, and the second conference was held in Nepal. The third conference will be held in Tunisia from September 3 to September 10.
