News Center- Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs has appointed trustees to the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, Êlih (Batman) Municipality and Xelfetî (Halfeti) Municipality, three municipalities held by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party).

Early Monday morning, Turkish police blockaded the buildings of the municipalities. Police do not allow people to close the building. According to the received reports, Mehmet Karayılan, elected co-mayor of Xelfetî (Halfeti) has been detained.
