The treatment of seriously sick political prisoner Muhlise Karagüzel, who underwent an open-heart surgery, continues. “We will ask the court to early release my mother by submitting her health reports,” said her daughter.
News Center- Political prisoner Muhlise Karagüzel, who was held at Menemen R-type Closed Prison in Izmir, was transferred to a hospital on January 29 due to her deteriorating health condition. Suffering from diabetes, health problems, hypertension, asthma, lumbar and cervical disc herniation, she underwent an open-heart surgery on February 17, 2024.
She was temporally released for three months
After undergoing the open-heart surgery, her lawyers requested her release due to her health problems. She was temporarily released for three months. On February 22, she was transferred to a hospital in Ankara for treatment.
Her daughter, Zilan Karagüzel, gave information about her mother’s health condition. “My mother underwent a risky surgery. She is getting better,” she said, “But we still have to call an ambulance to go to the hospital and return because my mother cannot walk. We will ask the court to early release my mother by submitting her health reports.”
