News Center- The Criminal Chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal on Thursday convicted a French language teacher for raping and sexually assaulting and raping female students. The teacher has been sentenced to 30 years in prison and a fine of about MAD 200,000 (more than $19,000).

The second defendant has been acquitted of the charge of facilitating prostitution, as he was involved in supplying the apartment where the teacher sexually assaulted the female students.

The sexual abuse of female students at a private school sparked anger in the country.
