News Center- The Umbedda Emergency Room, a local emergency response group in Omdurman, Khartoum State, documented three new cases of rape allegedly committed by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) members and the disappearance of five girls in late May 2025.
According to reports published by international human rights organizations, the RSF have committed serious violations of international humanitarian law, including widespread sexual and gender-based violence, as well as unlawful detention and confinement of civilians, and pillage in the areas controlled by them in Khartoum State.
The reports by human rights organizations, including the United Nations and Human Rights Watch reveal widespread sexual violence, including rape and gang rape in Khartoum, Bahri and Omdurman. “The RSF have also tried to prevent their acts of sexual violence from being documented or reported,” the Human Rights Watch said in a report.
