Solmaz Hassanzadeh released from prison on bail
Solmaz Hassanzadeh, sister of Mohammad Hassanzadeh, one of the victims of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” uprising, has been released from Urmia prison on bail after eight days on hunger strike in solitary confinement.
News Center- Solmaz Hassanzadeh, sister of Mohammad Hassanzadeh, one of the victims of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” uprising, was released from Urmia prison on bail of 500 million Tomans on Tuesday.
She started a hunger strike on August 6 to protest inhuman practices in the prison and the ban on family visits.
Solmaz Hassanzadeh and her father Ahmad Hassanzadeh were arrested by Iranian security forces on July 30, 2024. She was then transferred to Urmia prison and held in solitary confinement.
Mohammad Hassanzadeh (28) was shot dead by Iranian security forces on November 16, 2022, during nationwide protests in the city of Bukan.
