Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 688th day
The Şenyaşar family has been holding a sit-n protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 688 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 688th day.
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold their protest by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice”.
Today, the Şenyaşar family posted a tweet saying, “Our sit-in protest for justice continues with determination on its 688th day in the Islamic World Tourism Capital. Governor Salih Ayhan meets with the citizens by opening his door; however, our request for a meeting with him has not been accepted yet. The governor should not discriminate among people!”
