Roshanak Molaei Alishah released from prison after her flogging sentence carried out

Roshanak Molaei Alishah, an opponent of the mandatory hijab in Iran, was released from prison on Wednesday after her flogging sentence was carried out.

News Center- Roshanak Molaei Alishah, a 25-year-old woman and opponent of the mandatory hijab, was released from prison on Wednesday after her flogging sentence was carried out.

Roshanak Molaei Alishah was arrested after posting a video on social media platform X on October 31, 2024. The video showed that she appears without a hijab, fighting a soldier on a motorcycle who harasses her.

On November 2, 2024, Roshanak Molaei Alishah was summoned and interrogated by the cyber police regarding her social media posts. On November 3, she was arrested and transferred to Qarchak Prison.

Roshanak Molaei Alishah was previously arrested and imprisoned during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom)” uprising that sparked in Iran and Rojhilat Kurdistan following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by Iran’s so-called “morality police” in Tehran.
