Ramazan Babat arrested, accused of child sexual abuse

Village guard Ramazan Babat, who sexually abused a child in the Uludere district of Şırnak and then tried to cover up the incident, was arrested last evening.

Şırnex – In May, 24-year-old village guard Ramazan Babat sexually abused a child in the Şenoba town of Şırnak’s Uludere district. After the incident was revealed, Şeyhmus Babat, an opinion leader in the town, reportedly gave 200,000 Turkish liras to the victim’s family in order not to file a criminal complaint against Ramazan Babat.

The victim's parents have been taken into custody

After the incident sparked anger on social media platforms, Ramazan Babat was taken into custody on Monday by the order of the prosecutor's office. After being questioned, Ramazan Babat has been sent to prison on charges of “sexually abusing a child”. Şeyhmus Babat and the victim's parents have been held in custody on charges of “altering, destroying, or concealing evidence”.

Firdevs Babat was killed by the gun of village guard

Village guard Ramazan Babat is also the brother of Ahmet Babat, who killed Firdevs Babat.

According to the received report, Ahmet Babat used Ramazan Babat’s gun to kill Firdevs Babat. Ahmet Babat has been held in prison on charges of “Deliberately killing” Firdevs Babat.

The Babat family cut down trees in Şırnak

Besides these crimes, Ramazan Babat’s family is known as a big family cutting down trees in Şırnak for months. While hundreds of trees have been cut down for months, the trees in the Cudi and Besta are still cut down by the family.
