News Center- The protests that started in Iran following the killing of a Kurdish woman named Jina Mahsa Amini by Iranian so-called ‘morality police’ continue. The nationwide uprising against the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has entered its 27th day. The Iranian regime forces attack and open fire on protesters to suppress the protests.

Shopkeepers closed up their shops

Today, the shopkeepers in Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Dehgolan, Sarpol-e Zahab, Saqqez, Marivan, Bukan and Kasbah closed up their shops to support the general strike. In Kangan, the general strike started after protesters blocked the Asaluyeh-Kangan road. The response of the regime to the general strike was to restrict internet access in the region. The members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iranian security forces have been deployed to the streets.

Last night, protests continued in Rohelat and Iran

Many anti-regime protests were held in the cities of Eastern Kurdistan such as Mahabad, Saqiz, Kermanshah, Dehgolan, Marivan, Baneh and Bukan. The protesters lit fires on the streets. According to local sources, fighter jets flew over Kermanshah to prevent protesters.

The protests continue in many Iranian cities, towns and provinces such as Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Isfahan, Varamin, Fuladshahr, Yazdan Shahr, Tehran, Kazeroon, Mashhad, Qom, Tabriz, Ekbatan, Shiraz, Qazvin, Arak, Hormozgan, Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz and Marvdasht.

Injured people cannot be treated

According to the reports, those who are  injured in the police attacks could not access their right to health. The injured people are treated in houses in order not to be arrested by Iranian regime forces.

Killing of Nika Shakarami

On 20 September 2022, 16-year-old Nika Shakarami disappeared in Tehran during the protests. Ten days later, her death was announced. She had died under suspicious circumstances. New footage shows 16-year-old Nika Shakarami standing on a dumpster and burning her headscarf in Tehran before her death.

At least 185 people were killed

185 people, including 19 children have been killed in Iran since the protests started in the country, according to the Iran Human Rights (IHR). Iranian opponents also announced the number of people killed in the protests as 192 as of October 9.
