News Center- Protests that started after Abdullah Zeydan, DEM Party’s Co-mayoral candidate for Van Metropolitan Municipality, was divested of his right to be elected five minutes before the end of the working day on Friday, March 29, 2024, two days before the local elections held on March 31, continue in the city of Van.

Today, business owners in the city have kept their shutters down to protest the “coup” against their will, while hundreds began to march from different parts of the city by chanting the “Abdullah Zeydan is our honor” slogan.

The protesters have begun to build barricades since the police attacked some groups.
