People of Makhmour resist Iraqi army for 11 days
For 11 days, the people of Makhmour refugee camp have been resisting the attempts of the Iraqi army to surround the camp with wire fences and concrete blocks.
Makhmour- Since early morning of May 20, 2023, the Iraqi army has tried to surround the Martyr Rustem Cudi Camp (Makhmour Refugee Camp) with wire fences and concrete blocks while the residents of the camp have resisted the attempts of the Iraqi army. The residents of the camp call for international solidarity.
Despite all the talks and promises of the Iraqi authorities, Iraqi soldiers have been trying to dig trenches and build fences around the camp. According to the local sources, the Iraqi army has been trying to seize the water source of the camp.
