Palestinian photojournalist Fatima Hassaouna was killed along with several of her family members in an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to the local reports, Fatima Hassouna and 10 members of her family were killed in the Israeli airstrike.
She became a symbol
Fatima Hassouna became a symbol in the Gaza Strip by making great efforts to document the crimes and rights violations committed against her people since the start of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) released a statement, condemning the killing of Fatima Hassouna. In the statement, the syndicate accused Israeli forces of deliberately targeting Palestinian journalists.
According to the statement, at least 212 Palestinian journalists, including 25 women journalists, have been killed in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
