Hasakah- Newroz Rojhilat, the commander of Til Temir Military Council, spoke to NuJINHA about Turkey's threats in the region. She criticized the silence of the guarantor states against these threats and attacks. Speaking about the ongoing attacks on the region, she talked about the preparations of fighters against the attacks.

“Troops have been deployed in the region”

Indicating that the attacks on North and Syria continue, Newroz Rojhilat said, “The Turkish state and Turkey-backed factions continue to kill people and to carry out attacks to invade the region. The number of the deployed troops have been increasing. They also send more weapons, ammunition, heavy weapons and howitzers to the region. During the deployment, civilians are targeted. These attacks cause the loss of life and property. Many people have been killed and injured in these attacks.”

“We also protect the soldiers of Damascus”

Speaking about the duties of the Syrian regime soldiers and the forces that call themselves 'guarantor' in the region, she said, “The soldiers of Damascus are also killed in Turkey’s attacks. The soldiers of the Damascus government do not respond to the attacks; they remain silent even though they lose soldiers. While they remain silent, Russia does not have a clear reaction to the ongoing attacks. Their silence makes people wonder why. The soldiers of the Damascus government, who are here to protect the border, remain unresponsive when the attacks are carried out. We have to protect them. In addition, we take their injured soldiers to hospitals.”

“We have changed our strategy”

 Stating that the women fighters have been making preparations for a possible offensive, Newroz Rojhilat said, “We also take our measures against attacks. We have changed our war strategy. We have already taken measures against a possible new ground and air cross-border offensive. Women fighters are ready to defend the people at the frontline. As women and men of this country, we have a responsibility to protect our lands.”

“We will not remain silent against invasion”

Calling on the international human rights organizations, Newroz Rojhilat said, “The use of different weapons targets not only our people and fighters, but also nature and vital resources. We will respond to all attacks by using our right of self-defense. We, as Military Council, are ready to sacrifice our lives for our people. We will not remain silent against invasion.”
