News Center — Indicators of severe deterioration in humanitarian conditions inside the Gaza Strip continue, with widening destruction and shortages of medical and food supplies, amid growing inability of hospitals to accommodate the rising numbers of casualties.

Israeli warplanes launched tank shelling today, Saturday, August 29, on the Al-Tuffah and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods east of Gaza City, alongside airstrikes targeting various areas of the Strip, according to medical sources.

They noted that in Gaza City, two Israeli airstrikes killed Palestinians and injured others, including a child. At the same time, one of the strikes targeted a bicycle near the Industrial Junction on the Thirtieth Street, while another struck a tent sheltering displaced people near the Ansar Junction.

They explained that the recent attacks caused deaths and injuries among a number of civilians amid ongoing Israeli shelling on various areas of the Strip.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the war toll had risen to 73,449 killed and 173,472 injured, noting that hospitals in the Strip had received over the past 48 hours 10 fatalities—nine new and one body recovered—in addition to 18 injuries.

It noted that the total number of casualties since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 1,313 killed and 4,361 injured, in addition to 815 bodies recovered, confirming that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach and recover them.
