Nayereh Behnoud sentenced to five years in prison

Nayereh Behnoud, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, has been sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.

News Center- Nayereh Behnoud, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, has been sentenced to five years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran on charges of “propaganda against the regime” and “assembly and collusion through membership in opposition groups.”

According to the received reports, Nayereh Behnoud has already appealed for the reversal of the verdict.

In September 2024, Nayereh Behnoud was arrested in Tehran by Iran’s security forces. After being held at the Ministry of Intelligence detention center, known as Ward 209 of Evin Prison, for about one month, she was transferred to the women’s ward of Evin prison on October 21, 2024.
